Sin City Sequel to be Released October 2013

Dimension Films announced today that we will have to wait some time for Frank Miller’s highly anticipated sequel to Sin City, as it will not be released until October 2013.

Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For will be released nationwide on October 4^th, 2013 and will see many members of the original cast returning for the sequel, including Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke.

Casting is currently underway to fill out the rest of the roles, and we can expect an announcement shortly that will reveal the entirety of the cast as more big-name stars are expected to fill the lead roles. Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez will direct, with Academy Award winner William Monahan penning the script.

The details of the films plot are unsurprisingly being kept under tight wraps, but what we do know is that Miller and Rodriguez will be filming with intentions to distribute the movie in 3D, adding to their already unique visual style.

With a sequel to Anchorman in the works, and now this, 2013 is already shaping up to be a fantastic year at the movies.
